{"id":11823,"date":"2021-05-25T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-05-25T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/itrworld.com\/usco\/itr-meccanica-where-itr-components-are-born\/"},"modified":"2026-09-03T10:19:35","modified_gmt":"2026-09-03T10:19:35","slug":"itr-meccanica-where-itr-components-are-born","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itrworld.com\/usco\/itr-meccanica-where-itr-components-are-born\/","title":{"rendered":"ITR Meccanica: where ITR components are born"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>The Modena based company, ITR Meccanica, is the USCO group&#8217;s biggest spare parts production centre for earth moving machines.<\/h2>\n<h4>While undercarriage components are manufactured in\u00a0South Korea\u00a0and\u00a0China, the 100% USCO Spa controlled\u00a0ITR Meccanica\u00a0is the\u00a0production centre for the miscellaneous category,\u00a0offering one of the most complete ranges of spare parts for earth moving machines on the market.<\/h4>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<div class=\"ri\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6Uezsh0CY44\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Founded in Modena in the mid-1960s<\/strong>&nbsp;as a workshop specializing in mechanical processing&nbsp;<strong>under the name of GRS S.p.A<\/strong>, the company soon made its way into the spare parts sector for earthmoving machinery by carrying out work on behalf of third parties.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Already famous for the production of pre-chambers, they also manufacture other components such as gears, bushings and pins, and thanks to the investment at the beginning of the 90s in to&nbsp; special machine tools for the processing of bodies and accessories aimed at the production of pumps, they now specialize in this sector.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>In 2003 GRS S.p.A was acquired by the Usco group<\/strong>&nbsp;and subsequently changed its company name to&nbsp;<strong>ITR Meccanica<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>ITR Meccanica<\/strong>&#8216;s Modena<strong>&nbsp;worksites<\/strong>&nbsp;include an&nbsp;<strong>overall floor space<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;of 12,000 square metres<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>7,000 of which are under cover<\/strong>, producing&nbsp;<strong>over 50,000 items&nbsp;<\/strong>compatible with numerous machine brands including&nbsp;<strong>Caterpillar\u00ae and Komatsu\u00ae<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">These include various types of gears (sprockets, hub gears, crowns, etc.), lubricated pins, bogies, brake calipers, stabilizer bars, worm screws, and components for suspension groups and chain tensioning. However,&nbsp;<strong>the&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>flagship line<\/strong>&nbsp;is certainly the&nbsp;<strong>gear pumps<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\">An annual production capacity of 60 thousand pumps&nbsp;<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">ITR Meccanica has an annual production capacity of 60 thousand pumps including&nbsp;<strong>hydraulic gear pumps<\/strong>&nbsp;for lubrication and Diesel injection in<strong>&nbsp;transmission pumps, fuel transfer pumps systems,&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>engine water pumps<\/strong>,&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>4 stage pumps<\/strong>, which are among the most difficult to manufacture.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">All the pumps and in particular the hydraulic pumps are subjected to strict testing, conducted applying specially developed technology to ensure specification and performance compliance.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In addition to pumps, another important product range is loading ramps.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\">Loading ramps: over 700 items in production&nbsp;<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"ri\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HpO-n38StO8\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">ITR Meccanica use state-of-art welding systems to manufacture&nbsp;<strong>aluminium loading ramps for the transport of mini and midi excavators<\/strong>,&nbsp;both wheeled and tracked. There are&nbsp;<strong>more than 700 models in production&nbsp;<\/strong>from a minimum capacity of 15 hundred kg up to a maximum of 12 thousand kg, in lengths from 1.5 to 5 metres.<br \/>Every ramp is designed in compliance with high safety standards and strict internal quality procedures according to Standard ISO 9001.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\">OEM quality and reliability&nbsp;<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Every ITR production site in Italy and abroad applies an internal test procedure for its products.
