They are mainly located in&nbsp;<strong>Jinju<\/strong>, close to Busan, one of the largest ports in the world.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">ITR Industries Korea is a consolidated and constantly expanding industrial manufacturer striving for progressive evolution of its sites through constant improvement, as testified by the new site dedicated to roller production opened in 2021.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"leftAlone\" title=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/itrworld.com\/usco\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2026\/01\/ITR-Industries-Jinju-South-Korea.jpg\" alt=\"ITR Industries Jinju South Korea\" width=\"724\" height=\"342\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span><br \/><\/span><span>The Jinju factory is closely focused on the production of undercarriage&nbsp;<strong>chains, shoes, sprocket segments, and rollers<\/strong>. The main&nbsp;production processes&nbsp;include forging lines, machining, heat treatments, and full control of chain assembly.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"ri\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9srXNuDS608?si=4djDoKMAwlutfgZH\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\">Forging<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In the production of chains, sprocket segments, and rollers,&nbsp;<strong>ITR&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>standards<\/strong>&nbsp;can only be ensured with&nbsp;<strong>high quality forged components<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Our dedicated forging site is in Sacheon<\/strong>, a few kilometres from Jinju. Links, bushings, sprocket segments, and semi-rollers are forged here: all strategic components to ensure both&nbsp;<strong>production autonomy&nbsp;<\/strong>for the company and&nbsp;high&nbsp;<strong>quality&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>processing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The&nbsp;process&nbsp;starts with steel alloy billets. They are cut to size and then induction heated, forged, and heat treated.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-8cd0b39c-7fff-024d-699e-ab684157c071\"><br \/>In recent years we have made substantial&nbsp;investments&nbsp;in our forging lines, aiming for&nbsp;<strong>automation&nbsp;<\/strong>using&nbsp;<strong>articulated robots<\/strong>, and reorganizing the processes according to product flow. Quality and efficiency are the linchpins of this production process. It is no accident that ITR Industries has always strived for&nbsp;<strong>waste reduction<\/strong>: all superfluous elements must be eliminated, and the sole objective must always be added value for customers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\"><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-51a3f406-7fff-ae16-cac0-b7b03cc942f7\">Machining and heat treatment<\/span><\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Once the raw components have been manufactured, all parts are returned to Jinju. Here they are machined on CNC lines and undergo&nbsp;<strong>heat treatments<\/strong>. Our installed machinery guarantees constant supply of all components, which are automatically conveyed towards the&nbsp;<strong>assembly lines&nbsp;<\/strong>or dispatch stations (in the case of spare parts).<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-23daec94-7fff-5c12-d8b4-9dbc95df27b1\">Not only our links, pins, and bushings, but also our&nbsp;shoes&nbsp;are produced internally. In this case the starting point is a profile section that is cut and heat treated to create finished shoes, all on a&nbsp;<strong>single production line<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\"><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-6e575a59-7fff-cbfd-ad9e-dd0e47a1a352\">Full chain assembly controls<\/span><\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Just like the&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/itr-magazine\/itr-industries-polo-produttivo-di-eccellenza-del-gruppo-usco-itr-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\">Chinese Yantai<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;site, great care is taken in&nbsp;Korea&nbsp;during the assembly stage. Cleanliness and consistency are fundamental requirements, and the components move along&nbsp;dedicated&nbsp;<strong>flow lines differentiated<\/strong>&nbsp;by type and size.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Each line is designed to&nbsp;optimize&nbsp;each individual operation. All products are also&nbsp;tested in-line&nbsp;to ensure the correct assembly procedure. Once assembled, they move towards the painting section and then on to the dispatch area.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">ITR quality standards specify destructive and non-destructive&nbsp;test procedures. These include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-6801176b-7fff-1586-ebb1-2d92a3322686\">Dimensional testing<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-6801176b-7fff-1586-ebb1-2d92a3322686\">Hardness and microstructural testing<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-6801176b-7fff-1586-ebb1-2d92a3322686\">Ultrasonic and magnetic particle testing<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-6801176b-7fff-1586-ebb1-2d92a3322686\">IR<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-6801176b-7fff-1586-ebb1-2d92a3322686\">Mechanical properties testing<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-6801176b-7fff-1586-ebb1-2d92a3322686\">Simulation of heavy operating conditions using FEM analysis software.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-6801176b-7fff-1586-ebb1-2d92a3322686\"><br \/>Using a series of specially designed&nbsp;machines&nbsp;capable of replicating the heaviest working conditions, we can also develop and test new product ranges for&nbsp;<strong>after market and OEMs<\/strong>.<br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\"><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-f8f9eb36-7fff-64bf-b678-3280bf74bf5a\">Automotive standards at the service of the undercarriage: the new factory for roller production<\/span><\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-6a34fd06-7fff-1be7-2b98-82a25ae64cb3\">As anticipated at the start of this article, 2021 brought an important novelty for ITR Industries: the start up of a&nbsp;<strong>new roller factory&nbsp;<\/strong>at the Korean ITR site. This is a state-of-art production facility that applies the&nbsp;<strong>best practices<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;of the automotive sector<\/strong>, where quality, on-time delivery, and efficiency represent the operative yardsticks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size: 10px;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"ri\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ugw8ksnmzpY\" width=\"600\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Group is striving to increasingly diversify its supply base, in order to ensure&nbsp;<strong>maximum quality standards&nbsp;<\/strong>in an&nbsp;<strong>agile supply chain<\/strong>&nbsp;that can handle all market conditions.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The top priority for the new site is&nbsp;<strong>process continuity<\/strong>. The layout was designed entirely for a product flow that ensures flexibility and minimum use of human resources. In this way,&nbsp;automation&nbsp;means not only efficiency, but also repeatability under the most varied working conditions and maximum reactivity to market fluctuations.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The&nbsp;rollers&nbsp;produced here are made from forged steel alloys. These are machined, welded, and heat treated to achieve the designed&nbsp;characteristics&nbsp;of mechanical wear resistance and durability.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">All the rollers are&nbsp;<strong>tested 100% in-line<\/strong>, with maximum sensitivity to the smallest deviations from the standards.
